SPRAY TAN GUIDELINES

Time Out has a reputation for good, consistent spray tans and we hope to continue this trend.  In order for you to get the most from your tan, please take a minute to read the guidelines below which will inform you of steps you can take to help make your tan as even and long-lasting as possible.

It is advised to exfoliate the night before your tan appointment (not on the day of your application if possible) This will remove dead skin cells, helping to promote even coverage and increase the duration of your tan.

It is best to shave/wax at least 8 hours before your tan appointment.

Avoid wearing makeup or moisturisers on the face as this acts as a barrier to the spray and stops the process being fully completed, reducing the quality of the application.

We recommend you wear dark underwear and put on loose clothing after your tan.

Deodorant should be avoided immediately prior to your tan as this may be temporarily discoloured by the tan solution.

When you wash off your tan application, use your hands and a very mild soap/shower gel.  Do not use any product which is "body firming or toning" or any product containing vitamin A or C ie fruit based.

Have the quickest shower you can and avoid standing for prolonged periods under the shower.

Pat yourself dry gently with a soft towel and wear loose clothing after your shower.

Apply body lotion or self-tan lotion such as Holiday Skin/Dove after every shower to prolong your tan.  Remember to thoroughly wash your hands if you use a product which has tanning agents in it.

Please note that your tan will rub where you have bra straps so if you are wearing a strapless top for an occasion, do not wear a bra with straps after your tan.  Please also note that wearing trousers immediately after your tan will increase the likelihood that your tan will rub off of your knees/legs.

Wait at least 12 hours before washing off your tan application - preferably leave the tan to develop overnight.
